Yes. The core wedding planning features — budget tracker, guest list up to 150, vendors, checklist, and payments — are completely free and will stay free. We're building Pro features (unlimited guests, cloud sync, PDF export, partner sharing) that will cost $9/month when they launch.
Where is my data stored? expand_more
Right now, your data is saved in your browser's local storage — it stays on your device and never leaves it. This means it persists across sessions on the same browser. Cloud sync (so your data works across devices and browsers) is coming with our Pro tier.
Can I share this with my partner? expand_more
Not yet with automatic sync, but you can both use the same browser on the same device today. Multi-user sharing (so you and your partner each see the same plan in real time from different devices) is our top requested Pro feature and is coming soon.
What are "hidden fees" and why does BudgetTools track them? expand_more
Hidden wedding fees are costs that don't appear on initial vendor quotes but are added to your final invoice. The most common: venue service charges (typically 20–25% on top of the base price), vendor gratuities (15–20%), overtime fees if your reception runs long, cake cutting fees, corkage fees, and vendor meals. Our hidden fee tracker estimates these based on your entered costs so you're never surprised.
